Should condoms be given to teenagers?

Teens are crazy sex animals. Rather them practice safe sex because most of the time they won't listen to a word anyone says about staying a virgin until they can support themselves and a child if there is an accident.

But... Also gives them the urge to get right to it. What can ya do? We are animals and our bodies crave reproduction. Hormones raging. At least with condoms, diseases and infections can be reduced.

Abstinence only sex ed courses aren't effective. If anything it makes teens wanna do it more. Practicing safe sex is far more important than keeping kids virgins in the name of The Lord.

There are lots of governments in other countries that offer free birth control to everyone. That's something that could make a big change in America. Less kids born to unprepared/irresponsible parents.

@BMO(Sarah)[THB] But birth control has deadly long term side effects. Someone close to me used it since she was 16. She's 23 now and she has been suffering quite a bit recently. If birth control is to be used, it should be us for a short amount of time. Condoms are better.

They make not protect as well as birth control, but if the right kind are used then there should be no problems. Better for the health. There are always other methods of resisting pregnancy. Doctors have their ways.

@AnonymousToAnExtent but birth control isn't always used just to prevent pregnancy. It can be used to help with other medical conditions. My mom had a condition where she potentially couldn't have children but behind put on birth control helped.

But that's between a patient and her doctor. Schools shouldn't be giving out prescription birth control. But condoms would do some good.
