Why are human lives considered more valuable than animal lives? Comment!

We think because we're the most evolved that that automatically makes us the most valuable. We were honestly just blessed with helpful evolutionary traits.

Yea, fair enough. I believe a mix of the first two. People are more evolved like you said, and because of this they are capable of amazing discoveries and things that benefit the better good of society, where a cat kinda just chills. And people's emotions are very complex, so if a human dies everyone who knew them will be super depressed, whereas if a cow dies, the other cows might not even notice.

I honestly have no idea but that is not how it should be. We should all be equal with one another from the smallest insects to the largest of mammals. Each is of importance and one no greater than another.

Humans don't even care about each other! Take Paris as an example. People are all praying for fucking Paris, but what about the other thousands of people dying?

You all only care about Paris, because it might concern you too. War is now coming and you scare your own fucking ass of. You don't care about the people who actually died, you care about your safety and you don't wanna get kicked out of you comfort zone.

I live about 2-3 hours away from Paris. So what, come and shoot me, blow my ass up. What do I care. Everybody is going to die eventually. Death is just an inevitable consequence of life. People are so fucking ignorant and naiv!

ok firstly, yes, paris has gained more attention. Why? Because shit like this almost never happens in cities like that in europe. Things like this happen far more often in third world countries and therefore dont have the same shock factor. Paris, being closer to us both geographically and socially scares people far more than something that happens in beirut, because its as if it isnt happening to us

ok yes, paris has recieved a lot more attention than other tragedies. But this is because shit like this alsmost never happens in cities like that in europe. In third world countries, it happens more often in third world countries hence why they dont get as much attention

does that make it okay to neglect the news no it doesnt. But still, paris is closer to us geographically and socially so people feel the shock more since events in paris are more relatable to them

People care about their own ass, that's why they are more affected by the attacks in Paris than elsewhere in the world, which is where we get back to the original question, people are all selfish bastards and that's also why they feel superior to animals as well as to each other.
