This Jasmine bitch needs to learn how to spell. I'm transgender and I was born that way. There were signs since I was a baby that I was. As for sexuality, I think you were born with a certain wiring in the brain and you grow into the feelings for the sex you are attracted to. It's not a choice because people can't help who they feel things for. If you think it's a choice and you say you're straight I'm going to assume you're a homosexual who CHOOSES to date the opposite sex in order to not disappoint someone you care about but in all reality you have no sexual or romantic feelings for your opposite sex partner. If you're bisexual then that's a whole other story and a complicated one. Bisexual people are really the only ones who can make the choice to be straight and be happy about it. As for me I'm straight.

I feel this whole debate whether people are born gay or not is useless. This is how I feel about the topic, I don't think ur born gay, because u don't know anything when ur born, I also don't think ur born straight. I feel that when u get older, u start to realize what it is ur attracted to. Being gay or straight is not a choice, it is something u develop into.

I hate it when people say being gay is a choice because that is very stupid, u don't choose what ur attracted to, it's just something that happens. You can't help the way you feel towards a person, man or woman. And a word to all the people that think that being gay is a choice, do u understand how stupid u sound when you say that? It's genetics, I don't know how many times I have to explain this to absentminded homophones. It's not a choice at all and some people hate being gay, lesbian or bi because they here this "it's a choice" bullshit and other quite obvious reasons that I don't want to go into. It's the way you were born and by a person saying it's a choice is by saying this is for guys that you get turned on when seeing a guy naked or on porn or something. Or for girls it's the same thing except with chicks, it's not a choice at all. People just can't accept what society thinks is different.

Totally agree with @Kaybear also, why the hell would somebody choose something that makes it more difficult for them or makes people talk badly too them etc. people don't choose to be gay, just like I didn't choose to be straight - that's how I was born & I know it was. We can choose some things about us but some things are just part of who you are & you've no control over it & your sexuality is just one of those things

Yes, you choose whether or not to have sex with someone of the same gender as you, but if I was gay, I'd have sex with a lesbian because I wouldn't want to either never experience sex or never have sex with someone that I am sexually attracted to. People are born gay/bi/straight/etc. They chose whether or not to accept who they are but they can't change who they are.

1 question then - why do some gay people commit suicide due to the fact they don't want to by gay or can't deal with the fact they are? If it was a simple choice they could just decide to be straight.

@Jasmine Yes, you are born gay. When you're a baby you don't know if you're going to end up being straight or not because babies don't feel sexual attraction. Transexual people choose to get a sex change, yes. And yes it is to fit their own needs. Needs that they have but didn't chose to have. Desires they feel that won't go away because it is how that naturally are.

Most of them don't do that because they are told its wrong and hate that they /want/ to do it. They don't hate their decisions they hate who they are

@Jasmine oh my god.. Yes when you're born you don't know you're gay or straight! You don't know what you are. That doesn't mean you're not. When you reach the age, whatever age that may be, that you start being attracted to people and having little crushes that you don't know what that even is completely you just start liking who you like, it's not a choice. I started liking boys I didn't actively choose that I just found someone attractive, it was all new to me and then I realized what it meant.

People who experiment do what they do out of curiosity. People who claim to be straight one day and gay the next do what they do to get attention. People why are gay do what they do because they feel a natural inclination to do so.

When you're born you don't know yes but you're the same person - you have to learn and grow into the person you are. As I previously said - when I was younger I came to the age of having crushes and they were on boys. I didn't understand what they meant or why I liked guys but I did and I couldn't control that, it just happened. I was always going to like guys, because I was straight. I know that because I didn't choose to like them I just did and I didn't know why or understand it and that's the same for gay people, it happens just their crushes happen to be on the same sex. Also, did u get the story I sent there?

A lot of people who go through bullying, depression, and other things where they need someone to talk to don't tell anyone because they are scared/uncomfortable/don't want to come across crazy. She has a family at risk, I doubt she would tell you if she wasn't attracted to her husband, I doubt she would tell you if she was posing many years ago because that's embarrassing, and I doubt she would tell you if she was confused herself
