What are some art supply brands you recommend

Prismacolor is good for colored pencils, Staedler has good drawing pencils, Art1st sketch pads (they have types for every medium)

Amsterdam or Liquitex Basics acrylic paint, Artist's Loft brushes, Strathmore sketch pads are good too

I haven't tried out a lot of stuff, but yeah, Prismacolor is good. I bet you could find some online reviews too. I have a Strathmore sketchbook that's nice.

Roseart is really good! I use roseart and i love it!

Strathmore has quality paper, I'd recommend their sketch paper for beginers, and their multi medium paper for advanced artists. Also Sakura sells nice gelly roll pens. Faber Castil has nice multiliners. If you are looking for the best, however, I recommend Copic. They have the best paper, multiliners, alcohol based markers. They are somewhat pricey, though.
