Should there be monetary awards for good grades? Comment!

it would be a good motivator for kids to actually try and learn and whatnot which is good, but at the same time getting good grades is an award of its own, and where would the money even come from

There should be like a trophy cause those who try hard deserve to have everyone know how hard they worked

My school cares more about sport than academic success. There's a notice board in the corridor titled, "Excellence in 2nd Year," and all they ever put on it is names of people who won a football match of some shit.
