If you can still tell that he's trying to keep the relationship going, then tell him what about his behavior gets on your nerves. This does not necessarily mean you should attempt to change his personality, just a few minor character flaws. Should he continue his behavior and choose to irritate ad nauseum, then you have little reason to continue dating him. It is at this point where you need to make a judgement call; but remember, no dance is worth your being unhappy.

Sometimes it gets to a point where EVERYTHING a person does gets on ur nerves. If that's where ur at, dump him. Sometimes it's more fun to go to the dance alone, you can flirt with all the boys that also came alone!

if you don't want him, let someone else have him, and give him a chance to be happy, too. don't use him for a date; it's not good for him OR for you. you're better than that...

it is up to you...does he treat you like a princess, does he never want to see you get hurt? If he does he loves you...but if you don't love him back, you should let him know. Guys do not like havering their emotions messed with...I know from experience.
