Well if you want to have sex it's illegal/ considered rape. If you are a virgin a 22-year-old will most likely push you into doing stuff. The guy is pretty creepy for being attracted to a teenager in the first place. The girl is most likely too immature for him. If he wants a serious relationship and if it works out then you will marry pretty young which usually doesn't work out because you will change a lot as you mature, and that's usually how people grow apart. I wouldn't recommend it...

Maybe when this girl is 22 and the guy is 27, it won't be a big deal because they will both be adults, both in their twenties. But for right now, it's pretty weird for a guy in his twenties to be dating a 17 year old. I mean I doubt they have a lot in common.

And yes, age has a large impact on maturity. Someone who is 10 is probably a lot more immature than someone who is 14.
