Alright well if the baby is n the basement and drawing the attention of the killer there, the killer will be going downstairs which is a straight line to shoot down. I'd hide, let the kid lure him to the stairs then quietly walk over, lean over the side of the door and shoot him on the way down the stairs, using the wall/door area as cover

Id probably die, but hey, at least it's a badass and memorable way to die

in my plan I have the element of surprise, the high ground, cover, a straight shot, and I could probably easily run away since I wouldn't be trapped anywhere

in this hypothetical situation u would die if u just faced the attacker head on. Basically, the question asks if u would be willing to put ur sibling in danger to attempt to save both of you or would u sacrifice them so u can live or get both of you killed

well I'm sure my parents wouldn't want to suffer the loss of 2 kids, but at the same time I don't know if I'd want to live with that guilt and that loss...hmph

i'd hide my sibling so that they are hidden but not to well, the sound will bring the killer down, they'll be focused in the direction of the baby whilst i am behind, whilst he is distracted i could have a clean shot at him
