I think they start a child off young worried about looks and how others perceive them. I don't see why people would want to subject their child to them.

i mean if the child wants to do them and the parent makes sure the child doesn't get too obsessed with looks I guess it's alright....but that never really happens...

I think it's odd to give a child fake adult teeth or whatever that stuff is, to cake makeup on them, and then parade them around. I can't see it being beneficial to a child.

It's probably actually ruining their confidence if anything. Judging someone based on appearance and talents is just plain cruel.

it's really not...I mean I guess the money is nice, but that's it. The confidence is kinda a gamble. Either they will be more confident from being in stage, or less confident from being compared to everyone else, depending on the kid and parents. Yea, they're kinda just bad overall

With all that glop on their face they look like a different person! They're learning that pretending to be someone else makes them better! It's wrong. But I agree with 👑MirandaKnowsWhat'sUp👑 about the 50 50 confidence chance. I was SO SHY! I could barley speak in class. Then I was in a play, and now I'm not nervous to participate. It could go either way.

It's kinda sexualizing little girls and teaching them that the only important thing is how you look. They're horrible and shouldn't be allowed. (For little kids at least- let them be kids)
