It never says in the bible that God hates gays or that God thinks we should hate gays. Hate the sin, not the person who committed it. Also, like my question on my profile states, God did not write the bible, people did. So people could have assumed God would be against homosexuality, or misinterpreted something and got the impression that he is. It's unsure if God really is against homosexuality or not. Plus, no one knows if there's even a god in the first place... And even if homosexuality is against your religion, there's no need to judge them or think of them differently because their sexuality doesn't affe you in any way.
