@AnonymousToAnExtent I did enjoy that book but out of the classics The portrait if Dorian Grey is my favorite followed then by Great Expectations

oh not at all. Great Expectations is a wonderful book, full of surprises and suspense. Classic beauty, as all classics are. It is, however, quite difficult.

And I've been left floating in the clouds when it comes to age! I don't think dickens was too concerned about that. He did write the book in parts for the public, and they had an influence on his writing. All for the money! Hehe read it

Honestly, anything written by Dickens is a pain in the ass to read. All that rambling, ugh... It's like a whole page can be spent on describing a damn window lol

Right you are, but the intricate detail and the amount of effort the man put into describing these simple things is interesting. I love the complication. I suppose that is just me.. Also, you must not forget the actual story! It's very strong.

@AnonymousToAnExtent I'm not a fan of the complication. It serves no purpose besides making the man more money because he was paid by word lol. I'm cool with flowery language if it's like some sort of enlightening metaphor or does /something/ for the book/experience besides pissing me off xD
I wouldn't know about the story of the book cause I didn't read it, but I heard the language takes away so much from the story that it just sucks

I don't read much... Like at all, but outta the stuff I had to read for school I really liked Animal Farm and Lord of the Flied. I read em like 2 years ago. And i liked the parts of Life of Pi where he discussed religion and I liked his different metaphors when explaining why zoos aren't bad for animals like people always say, but besides that the plot was pretty shitty.
