There are many respectable artists who are Christian, and there are some well-written songs about God, but I don't believe in "Christian Music". If Christian is use to mean anything other than a person, it becomes a marketing tool. Which is wrong.

Artists should write on what inspires them, and if that is Christianity, so be it, but they shouldn't be bound to that topic. And if you do write on God, it's okay to be pissed off at him and even cuss. That doesn't make you a non-believer, it's just honestly wrestling with what you you believe.

@Andres I'll admit, I do find you to be somewhat of a jackass, but justifiably so, and with well-formed humor. I myself am a Christian, but I agree, music under this name usually sucks. I want to apologize on behalf of the people who commented on this thread, most just don't know anything outside of their suburban sheltering parents. Look, it was ignorant for that girl to not actually pick up on your sarcasm, and wrong for her to agree with it and prescribe generic churchy advice. Sorry that God is so often represented badly. Also, I must say again, you're actually a very funny guy.
