@Daniel yeah i hate Rihanna and Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke and a lot of 'artists' because of the image they create for women - there is a lot of badly influenced music out there (unfortunately most of it is in the 'charts') but it makes someone happy for whatever reason so we just have to get on with it i guess :/ i am being slightly hypocritical as i kinda take comfort in the fact i have 'better music taste' than the rest of the people in my year at school but that's because i have nothing else to use for my own personal advantage and i hate them :))

@sophh xx "make you feel happy and worth something" oh dear you really have a very very blind vision on what "this kind of music is" no hate or anything to One Direction or all that, but majority of their songs are about girls and parties and well.. the lyrics aren't exactly inspiring or creative bands such as My Chemical Romance, Pierce the Veil, Of Mice & Men literally save lives and their lyrics are absolutely outstanding. and by saving lives i don't mean the whole generic "oh Justin Bieber saved my life" i mean there is people who have absolutely nothing left in their life. people who are on the verge of ending it all. people who just feel like they don't have any reason to stay breathing. and these bands - these inspirations - pull them out of it and help them fight through and surround them with other people going through the same situations. genres such as metal are viewed as some of the worst, most violent genres but are in fact the most understanding, loving and caring - along with the fans i don't expect you to understand or even go to the effort of reading this, and i don't know how old you are so in all honesty this probably means diddly squat to you and at the moment all music is to you is cute boybands who sing about their fans being pretty and pose for cute photos and are just happy-go-lucky about it all and i mean, there is nothing wrong with that - but, in complete and utter truth - the kind of music i personally prefer has a shitload more meaning and love than any pop song

@sophh xx i had a lot more written that gave a better explanation and summary but it deleted itself, wonderful basically if you're quite young you probably won't properly get this - but, again no hate towards pop music, but "this kind of music" has more power and meaning and compassion than any other pop song and that's pretty much a fact
