@baylea sykes I have the same problem. I'm not accepted in my family cuz I'm with a black man. You only get one life, you are the one that has to be happy! I'm grown, I don't hafta live with my fam anymore, thank God, and soon you'll be outta the house too. Hang in there and enjoy ur teen yrs, soon it'll all be over!

@baylea sykes this isn't the same, but when I was in school, I was shunned because I was such a dork. My high vocabulary was later found atractive when I met my best friends later, just like how you being different will lend you a lot of support later in life.

@baylea sykes let me tell ya something dear, just because you don't go the same way your family does they shouldn't outcast you or shun you! I'm country, born and raised. I literally bleed mud and love my confederate flag. But there ain't nothing wrong with being a little different, we weren't made to be the same! So if your family outcasts you, just do your own thing there are people who will except you!

I'm in the same situation most of my big family doesn't like me espessially my parents they are always criticizing me 😢 if they are mean to you I suggest to stay away from them if they just don't like you I suggest to try to spend more time with them and prove your a good person

First of all you are not an outcast!! The people in your family who are shunning you or mistreating you obviously do not accept you for who you are which is an amazing person who is different from what they expect

don't let the opinion of others make you! You are who you are! Show some pride in yourself and don't stoop to nobody level! And remember....people always find a way to put others down...somehow it is amusing to them!

I'm one of the black sheeps in the family, and being adopted doesn't help. But the worse is the judgement, even by my own sons, all 4. I'm not a bad mom, I've had some mental issues, but they don't know the heart of it and why. Should I tell them that I was raped? and their stepdad ignored my cries for help? and instead he cheated on me.and that's not because of the rape, it's because I put on weight hoping no guy would find me attracted. I've changed now and I moved 500 miles away and I lost 60 lbs, gained 20 back. I'm bummed. Oh btw my sons are all adults and I'm still with my husband, he had his own issues too, so we are working them out. No family where I live and life's been drama free!! Good luck Sweetie! Find peace within and get away from the negativity.
