Whoever created this is a complete moron. In most cases, who and what you are surrounded by will rub off on you, and you will act a certain way depending on what your environment is.

It has been scientifically proven that if one were to separate twins and raise them in different places with different people and such, those twins will have completely different personalities and ways of acting. The same goes for pets. It depends on how they are treated or what experiences they've had.
