Is it ironic that Jesus was a Jew and is a symbol for Christianity, a religion he was not a part of?

Christian just means followers of Christ so no duh jesus was Christian but also the Jews where gods people until they sinned

@🎩Llew🎩 Well...no. Jesus was a Jew because all there was back then was the Old Testament which Jews followed. Later the Jews broke off into 2 groups, those who believe Jesus was the messiah and those who believe the messiah is yet to come (which I'm sure you know). So he shared the same beliefs as modern day Christians do. And since when do Christians hate Jews? I never got that vibe

Jesus was definitely a Jew during his life and up until his death. It's illogical to believe that He could be part of a religion that didn't come into existence until after He died. After all, Christianity is a religion founded upon the teachings of Chris, organized and assembled later on by His followers.

Read the Bible people understand old Testament is when the Jews were gods special people but after Jesus died on the cross everyone was forgiven and everyone had a chance
