EmmaMen and women should all be considered equal and although I'm not religious, all religions should be tolerated because faith is not something that should be taken away from someone. I do agree with abortion however as it is the woman's choice to make, not society's. I don't believe anyone should be discriminated against, nor should their freedom to believe and do what they want (to an extent) be taken away from them. This society needs to learn tolerance.

EmmaYou assume the woman would take only her feelings into consideration when I feel most women would consult the father. I agree society views the mother as the primary caregiver rather than the father due to gender roles (obviously not good) however you can't ignore the statistics of the ever increasing single parent (90% of the time the mother) thus raising a child is becoming ever more frightening, costly and far more responsibility. You also have the cases of sexual assault which would make it much harder for the woman to raise the child, in marital rape as well. Abortion isn't a matter of equality, it's a matter of a woman's well being so I therefore think it should be an exception to the argument for equality.
