Sarah(FAM/PMS)I just don't like how school is no longer about learning and understanding. We focus too much on testing and grades, not any important material. Such a disappointment.

NotoriousI was just discussing that with a family member of mine yesterday. In high school, we have been introduced to PARCC testing. We are guinea pigs. Mind you, all that has been spoon fed to us is how to pass this test.

NotoriousThe fact that I only remember what is being taught to us at the time that it is being taught to us says a LOT about how shitty this system is. Despite all of this, I love to learn. I only learn what is important to me and my future, and I'm assuming everyone else does the same?

Sarah(FAM/PMS)Yes. We have PSSA's and practice tests for them called Fore Sights. Also computer CDT's. It's just that the curriculum is bad. We do stuff out of class and get nothing from it.
