ANon-religious Solstice person here. Sort of do Christmas culturally, but can't stand the "BUY STUFF" mentality, and Axis Tilt will always be my reason for the season.

CalvnKleinChristmas! 🎄 The whole season is my favorite of the entire year: The spreading of joy, the get-togethers with family and friends, everything is just so perfect! 😄

Bella PalterovichJewish but not religious so don't really care too much. I can celebrate anything but don't really feel emotionally connected to any holiday besides new yrs. new yrs is important to me.

ABella, what is it about New Year's that's important to you? It makes sense in a lot of ways, but I'm curious about your take

Bella PalterovichIt's a natural time for reflection, looking back, and think about the present in order to look/move forward. for whatever reason Jan 1rst was chosen to be this day, and I love the idea of it. I know most people set resolutions they don't follow through with but I do it a bit different. It's motivating. Also I like coming together w my family, it's basically the one holiday that we spend together. I always take a vacation at this time of yr, time to refresh before I get back on the grind. And 20 other reasons :)

A@Bella Palterovich. That's lovely, thank you. For some reason the beginning of fall feels like the new year to me.. I love the way they do Jan 1 in Rio de Janeiro. Everyone wears white and they put flowers in the sea.

Bella PalterovichFall makes sense too. School is in session, Change is in the air, it's not cold yet. people want to play in the spring/ summer but Fall we want to be back on track, out making moves :)

Bella PalterovichI love white and flowers in the sea, sounds perfect :)

AI think for me it's more about following nature... this is when a lot of seeds are gathered to be planted, and bulbs are buried. I know Jewish people also see fall as the new year.

Bella PalterovichSeeds planted i like that. What made u ask this question?

MYsoul-isblack-without-uEven Jews celebrate Christmas.
