CalvnKleinStatistically-speaking, considering the likelihood of a person being gay or bi and the average number of contacts people know nowadays, everyone should at least know someone who is gay or bi in their lives, whether they are out or not or whether they know it or not.

CalvnKlein@Sarah(FAM/PMS), Most gay people, but not all, realize they're gay even before their teenage years. Whether they accept it or choose to be out publicly, that's a different story. And it's very common to experiment and test the boundaries of your sexuality during middle/high school

Sarah(FAM/PMS)@CalvnKlein Yeah that's true. But in general, I can't think off the top of my head anyone I'm close with who is. They just happen to be straight I guess. I wouldn't care either way, obviously.

CalvnKlein@Sarah(FAM/PMS), That is a great way of thinking, and that's exactly what we want. Equality and not to be judged negatively on the basis if our innate sexual orientation. We don't want special treatment, just equal treatment and opportunities of friendship, employment, happiness, etc. 😄
