Veronica@Lily ya but that 1*0 uses one of the 1's from 1+1+1+1+1. That last 1 gets multiplyed by 0 making it null so you're left with 1+1+1+1. Another way of looking at it (algerbraicly) is 1+1+1+1+(1*0)= answer; 1+1+1+1+0=answer; 4+0= answer; 4=answer. Q.E.D

Tj Nixit depends on how you solve it. Different models give different answers. Widely accepted is that multiplication comes before addition, so 1+1+1+1+(1x0) = 4.
