Katherine Yes because the atoms and molecules in it are alive

MRK@Katherine when did u learn that? We havent studied it yet

Old Shrek vs. New ShrekAre you....retarded?

MeEverything is... Yes, even rocks. Because they have carbon, and carbon gets reused ( the carbon cycle ) . Therefore, everything on this earth has carbon, which means everything on this earth is alive. Yeah. I'm in 6th grade.

Katherine My grandmother is a nurse I learn science from her and school I learned most of it in grade 5 though

Katherine @Chicken farmer 101 I'm in grade 6 also and I agree I go to JHMS search for it in Instagram if u live in Seminole county and don't go there!!

Katherine Jackson Heghts middle school

I love you HiddlestonNo.

L I L YYes and no

VeronicaI am assuming you mean sentient (can think for themselves, such as humans or cats, not like lamps) then of course the answer is no. How else do you classify "alive" ? Oxygen is also abiotic which by definition means it is not alive.

AnimeLover😍😍😍😍😍😍idk

nathanTechnically no because it is not having a pulse a heat signature or nothing! But if you take a closer look there is small single cell organisms flying around all the time! Just waiting to evolve

L I L Yactually I did a little research and have come up with it is NOT in fact alive, carbon is NOT alive just because it evolves does not mean its 'alive' it means it is a working substance that when times change it evolves, so it's not classified in ANY science as 'alive' but if you are stubborn and want to think the 'single cell organisms' are alive I don't care (but there are not).

Sarah No. It isn't alive because it can't reproduce on its own. It also isn't made up of cells and doesn't require food or water.

HCAveragejoeNo there are ( characteristics of life) that said thing needs to be considered "alive" oxygen cannot evolve (1.) it cannot grow and/or develop (2.) if said thing does not meet all five characteristics ( 1. Capable of reproduction 2. Growth and development 3. Evolution 4. Being able to adapt to your environment 5. Made of cells) it's not alive

Tylerit is an element therefore not alive.
