Someone who is quite stupid but looks put together and has manners might seem really smart. An intelligent person who's a slob and rude will seem dumb in comparison. Girls try harder to be more put together. They want to look like that I. The outside whereas guys don't usually work as hard for that.. So girls tend to seem smarter. But the thing about it: when guys try to say that they are smarter, they're labeled as arrogant and chauvinist pigs. When girls say it: they are labeled as confident. It's a stereotype.. Not a question of who's smarter.
