You shouldn't judge people based off one sentence they say off the Internet- that's stupid. In my school, the theater always does musicals, therefore, you sing in theater. If you can sing /and/ improve your acting skills, isn't that better than just singing? Plus the person who asked this question can sing at home or take private singing lessons or something, but it's difficult to find a place that teaches acting for amateurs and acting isn't something she can practice whenever she wants.
