I got a problem I love (shock)rock/metal but my friends all like JB/1D n stuff.. really bothers me.. what do I do?

When listening together you can suggest Dol Ammad as a compromise, other than that stay with your taste

Ikr I hate that! They always sing out loud 1D songs and I sing one SIMPLE My Chemical Romance song they freak out and say shit like "ugh rock is so stupid" or "it hurts my ears! I hate rock! GTFO!" I can't even play one song by My Chemical Romance anymore in the bus cuz everybody else likes pop and shit and so they tell me to put it off or 'lower the volume' and the next fucking day the song 'A$$' is fully blasted in the bus and everybody's singing along! I mean What. The. Actual. FUCK!. That song just talks about 'asses' and the song 'Helena' was an inspiring song with meaningful words and they call it 'the devils music' even though there's no screaming in it and there saying there song is better and all it talks about is 'asses and sex'! *face palms* oh my fucking generation. Now I fucking cant listen to a simple MCR song without a 'Swag Fag' coming up to me and fucking laughing! Ugh! It's so effing annoying! And then some random girls in short short pink skirts who are slutty as fuck are listening to 1D full blasted and every single girl dancing to it! Ughhhhhhhhhh! I'm pist at everyone now! Great. But this was good so i can finally get my feelings out without people laughing at me. Thanks.

@XxKilljoy4ever310xX that"s your problem, you sing simple mainstream stuff, of course people will consider rock stupid if the only thing they know of it is mcr. While it isn"t lyrically as dumb as some other mainstream stuff it clearly isn"t particularly intelligent music

@Luna I wish I could deactiveer my problem more but they judge everything and anyone, say my taste of music is emo and that I shouldnt listen to this kind of music

@SoDevilish not when you can actually show them that it isn"t. I sometimes ask people to compare the instrumental part of any song of their choice to that of a song of my choice (Indricothere V is probably the most useful example) and see which is the one with more repetition and which the one with more variation

@theFIST and I like other bands too, like Linkin Park, Green Day, Metallica, Pierce the Viel, Breaking Bengamin, Black Veil Brides, and a lotmore but MCR is my favorite of all of them and I'm terribly obsessed with MCR more than the other ones

@theFIST in MCRs music video in 2010 "Na Na Na" and "sing" Gee, Frank,Ray, and Mikey are called KillJoys in the vid. Now, since 3 years ago, they are allways called "the killjoys" and the MCR fans are now called that too. The whole band has killjoy names. Gerard's is "Party Poison", Franks is "Fun Ghoul", Ray's is "Jet Star", and Mikey's is "Kobra Kid" . My official Killjoy name is "Black Cyanide Sacrifice" and it's awesome! Lololol Go to Urban Dictionary.com and type in "Killjoy" and you'll see what I mean.

It mostly started with Portal, but now there are also Abyssal, Ignivomous, Impetuous Ritual, Mitochondrion and Plague Widow worth checking out
