How is anime different from cartoons? (P.S. I agree that anime IS different from cartoons, but how do i explain it?)

Anime means Cartoon in Japenese. Anime are cartoons. Them being cartoons doesn't mean that they arw for children. Family guy, and south park are they for children? No. Are they cartoons? YEP.

anime is hand drawn every slide. And cartoons are drawn then computer animated.

Anime is Animated that's the reason it's called Anime it's also usually based off a Manga or Visual Novel. Cartoons are simple and use basic American Comedy to entertain people.
