I have recently found out my friend has been self harming for over 2 years now, what should I do??

what you should do is tell your student support/ head of year. That's what I did when my friend was self harming really bad and they got her council king and now she has nearly fully recovered. At first she was slightly annoyed that I had told school but she is so greatfull for it now. It will be worth it. Good luck.

Convince them that they are worth a lot more than they think and that they shouldnt do this to themselves

Don't tell her to stop, whatever you do. It'll make her want to to it even more. Self-harming is an addiction and she just can't stop immediately.

well I've been doing it for 6 years and I really hate it when people tell other people so I would keep it to yourself and just talk to them and keep them happy

@IM THE SHIT! I really don't think it would be wise for her to take advice from you since u have been self harming for years and still are. Clearly you are doing something wrong if you haven't stopped.

i self harm nd it is true it is an addiction I do it wiv anything nd everything my friend spoke to me about it and said everyone wud be so upset if I died nd it got serious I still do it but not as much as I used to I dont recommend telling an adult cuz that just makes u me in my case wanna do it more cuz they will stress which makes u stress

tell someone like her parent who can be with her all the time supporting her.

If you tell an adult they'll help u I done it once with my friend and it worked now her parents support her and they made her move schools they talked to the bullies and their parents and now she's happy if u don't tell an adult ur basically still gonna get bullied coz no body knows about the situation ..
