gay means "guys liking guys" it is not to be used as a broad term to describe all homosexuals....I believe that LGBTA day is better

Yeah but gay day sounds better. Sounds smooth.

True...but it's still not accurate

I mean, June is gay pride month so...

I meant like a day to celebrate when gay marriage was legal. Like... Independence Day. When we gained our independence. Eh?

I guess. . . . But if there's a "Gay Day," then why can' there be a "Straight Day?" Or am I just way off??

@JakeTheDog yeah, and we should also have a White History Month!

Yeah! There should be a Goofy day too then😑

@JakeTheDog it's like in Mario Kart- you don't get blue shells and lightning bolts when you're already in first place

@a person Lol that's a great analogy.

How about a Native American month? If anything they deserve one after all we took their land😑

@LumpySpacePrincess Yeah, no kidding!

@a person Heh? What's that an analogy for?
about 10 years ago

@JakeTheDog White people and straight people don't need days or months dedicated to them, their entire lives are filled with more respect/privileged than what others get.

She's saying they're basically in first place, they don't need a holiday for them or whatever😂
about 10 years ago

@BMO(Sarah) Oh. I see what she's saying. Although I don't quite agree. Maybe, just a few decades ago, but not right now.
about 10 years ago
Reply
But that's a good analogy.
about 10 years ago
Reply
@BMO(Sarah) exactly and @JakeTheDog(THB) I mean yeah, straight white people are still kinda in first place because no one really makes assumptions about them based on their race or sexuality.
about 10 years ago
Reply
@a person Not quite, I mean, many people automatically think that caucasians are snobby, rich, stuck-up, and/or racist.
about 10 years ago

@JakeTheDog(THB) Oh! Are you doing ThickHeadedBastards now too?😃

And it's better accepted for homosexuals to talk bad about straights, rather than straights talking about homosexuals, which would be bad.

@BMO(Sarah) Yup! You should join!

@JakeTheDog(THB) I guess everyone has stereotypes about everyone else. Perhaps instead of making holidays we could try to teach people to be more understanding. If only that were possible.

@a person I think we need to start young, when it comes to teaching. There should be more stuff about manners and acceptance in the younger grades- not the cliche "no bullying" but actual life lessons and stuff.
about 10 years ago
Reply
@BMO(Sarah)[THB] Tbh, I think that shouldn't be the teachers job. It should be the parents job to teach them stuff like manners.
about 10 years ago
Reply
@a person Yeah, no kidding. 😒
about 10 years ago
Reply
@JakeTheDog(THB) But more and more parents suck. I agree, it shouldn't be the teachers' jobs, but everything is just getting worse.

The thing is kids don't need to be taught how to be nice- little kids are accepting of like everything- they need to not be taught how to be judgmental in the first place by example. And don't let kids on the Internet for as long as possible. The internet has too much hate.

@a person True, and yeah-what's up with all the elementary school kids on apps like these and other social media platforms?

I mean I guess, sure, why not ^.^ but I think the whole lgbtqia community should have a thing, not just gay people

I would absolutely love to have a 'Native American day' over a 'gay day'. I think they deserve it more. After all, they lost countless lives. The not straight community was just sad.

He was the one who started the Trail of tears. Also with the natives. Man, the natives have gone through some hell! My grandmother was a Taino Indian. Literally straight from the mountains. I'm Hispanic if that doesn't ring a bell.

Puerto Rican. ;-) and I totally respect the natives. I think they are a beautiful and spiritual people. And I enjoyed the way they ran things. Had their solid farms and culture. Expect the sacrificing of people every time there was a new chief...
