Do you personally know someone who is gay?

I am gay 😁 I also have a few other family members who are gay. I have friends who are gay. And I know other people in my life who are gay 😄

One of my good friends is bi.

Statistically-speaking, considering the likelihood of a person being gay or bi and the average number of contacts people know nowadays, everyone should at least know someone who is gay or bi in their lives, whether they are out or not or whether they know it or not.

Hm. Well, kind of. Considering I'm in high school, the kids questioning their sexuality don't always know, so I don't always know. Like, two of my friends thought they were bi but aren't anymore.

And then like, my one friend was bi/something I'be kind of grown apart from.

@Sarah(FAM/PMS), Most gay people, but not all, realize they're gay even before their teenage years. Whether they accept it or choose to be out publicly, that's a different story. And it's very common to experiment and test the boundaries of your sexuality during middle/high school

@CalvnKlein Yeah that's true. But in general, I can't think off the top of my head anyone I'm close with who is. They just happen to be straight I guess. I wouldn't care either way, obviously.

@Sarah(FAM/PMS), That is a great way of thinking, and that's exactly what we want. Equality and not to be judged negatively on the basis if our innate sexual orientation. We don't want special treatment, just equal treatment and opportunities of friendship, employment, happiness, etc. 😄

Well as I'm sure you know, bi are not gay, and they don't like being under looked (as do we lol). I should have included them in the question hehe 😅 Sorry.
