Can I ask you something ... Do braces hurt??

I have braces, they dont hurt! When the orthodontist tightens my braces all u can feel is a bit of pressure lol

It only hurts for the first couple of days until you get used to it

@Becca thnx Becca. U made me feel loads better about getting braces, I'm only 11 and I need braces and ill need 4 teeth took out I'm terrified plz help

I don't have braces but my older sister did and she said it hurt like mad and when she had them put on we heard her screaming!

taken my braces off … they hurt a tiny bit at first but then its fine

I got braces last week and I had to have 9 teeth out for them! They don't hurt it's more aching for a few days but then you get used to it! :)

only when your first get them for like a week but then there fine they might scrape your lip once in a while but that's it

They only hurt when u have then first put in it just feels weird when I have them tightend

I had braces, 3 types of braces, and I would say once you first have them on, take painkiller for the first week. Then when you get them tightened regularly, just have some painkillers for the first 2-3 nights and you will be fine. Talk to me if you need anything else Xxx

i had 4 teeth took out , that doesn't hurt cos they num it and then the braces don't hurt but when u get them tightened you just feel a little bit of pulling xx

I got braces when I was 11 and had 4 teeth taken out as well! That doesn't hurt so much, just the needle going in to numb it :) and also my teeth only hurt for like two days after I got braces just take some paracetamol on the first day and u'll be fine! And they hurt a wee bit when you get them tightened but not much!x

i have had 7 teeth out it really hurts cos u have injections in ur gum but when u get braces it will ache for a few days and then it will be fine

i have braces and they hurt he day after u get em but otherwise there fine

They don't really hurt but the glue leaves a stinking taste

They hurt when you first get them and when you have to get rubber bands. Other than that they don't hurt much and they don't hurt when you get them off either. I got my braces off in may and i would never want to get them again
