What is the difference between university and college?

University is equal to the term college used in Americawhich is extended education that isn't compulsory by law as you are over the age of 18 (adult) to achieve a degree in a course of your choice after A-levels (if in UK) which you do in college if you live in England which can be called sixthform as well but secondary school as a senior in America

You have to go to college whereas you don't have to go to uni
