Originally, J. K Rowling named the first Harry Potter book "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" but she didn't think it would sell very well because most kids (even some teens) didn't know what 'Philosopher' meant. So she changed it to "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone".
