being gay isn't necessarily a choice. However I do not believe that they are always born that way either. When people are gay they are attracted to the same sex. It could be because of environmental factors or genetics or a mixture of both. They don't choose to be gay. It's just the way they feel.

And like she said, u need to agree to disagree because in the end neither of you have proof. It's down to your opinions. If people choose to be gay then why would there still be gay people on the countries that hang you for it? Think about it.

@sweetcattiem it is a proven fact that you can't be born gay, I meant that you feel what gender you are more sexually attracted to... As In the way you make the decision or choice to become gay.

@Shadow you do not choose to BECOME gay. When you are little you do not develop sexual feelings for another being or feelings of love which is why people don't normally come out as gay until they hit puberty. It's because they discovered it. Where's the proof that you can't be born gay?

you're all stupid apart from @sweetcattiem because I'm bisexual and I didn't choose to be and actually I was born like this, I've fancied boys and girls from a very young age so @Talia no matter how cocky you are reality isn't going to change... go look it up and ask someone who is gay unlike you're mum because she hasn't been in this position. It's not a choice and if it seems like it is, it's probably just hormones balancing or a realisation

it doesn't make sense to CHOOSE to be gay, because my uncle was married to a woman to hide the fact he was gay (because in them days it was really bad) and then he came out later and got divorced. Why would he do that if he had the choice?? Exactly, he wouldn't.

people have been murdered for being gay. They knew they would be so if they had the choice they would choose to be straight so they don't get killed!! But the point is you don't have a choice
