Because they lack wisdom

Because they want to follow their own laws and not Gods. It's a sort of a rebellion from following God. Of course everyone has to make there own choices on what they want to believe. But when it comes to the end of our lives I guess we'll see who's right... Hopeful they'll be spending forever in Heaven instead of forever in hell. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy to spend eternity in hell. (Hell was meant only for the devil & his demons, not Gods creation...us!)

christian god is no more proven than greek gods. Despite that u people choose to believe it completely disregarding the greek gods. Atheists find it diffcult to believe because there is no proof supporting the idea of god and his creation whereas there is proof of a big bang

Because Some people like me do not Believe in objects or living things that they have no evidence to that exist.

I don't know. My best friend is an atheist. I guess it's because they don't think there is a greater power out there.

Most were raised some religion, usually Christian where I live, and after reviewing it, disagreed with the ideology of it. They don't think it makes sense for there to be a god for various reasons. They don't think the bible adds up and makes logical sense. They question the set of morals Christianity enforces. So they leave the church

Reading the bible is the #1 reason.

They either really start listening to what religions teach then see all the errors in their ways and/ or do not believe what cannot be done.
