Yes and no. I don't call myself Hispanic as in America the term has been widely polluted and doesn't mean what it's supposed to. I am Spaniard-American. Not "Hispanic" Spaniards are Hispanic. Real Hispanics and the only true Hispanics but in America the term has been applied to indigenous people which I do not want to be grouped up with. As I share no ancestry with them or look anything like them. Calling myself Hispanic would also mean it excludes all of my other roots. I wouldn't say I am "Hispanic" as I don't really follow my Spanish/SPANIARD culture or speak fluent Spanish. So no. Not really. I'm Mediterranean/Spanish.
@👑MirandaKnowsWhat'sUp👑 yes but I prefer Mediterranean as it includes most of my ancestry. I am french, Portuguese, Italian, basque and Spanish. I am also Celtic and polish.
@👑MirandaKnowsWhat'sUp👑 I had no clue either! I thought I was just Spaniard then I looked more into my roots and found out I was all this stuff. I'm not that in touch with my dads side which is why I didn't know before but once I found out I thought it was so cool 😊😊
@👑MirandaKnowsWhat'sUp👑 my other comment didn't send 😕
I said that I guess it doesn't really matter but it is interesting to find out about where your family comes from and how they came here from there. Who they were and all that sort of stuff. It makes you really appreciate it.
I would have preferred if I lived in Spain or France though 😒 but I'm sure my ancestors had there reasons for coming over here. Spain is kind of fucked. Not many jobs and unemployment is really high but they are fixing it!
