It's cause the creator of it said that the game was literally ruining his life. He was getting threats and people were saying they were planning on SUICIDE. There was also this incident in like Louisiana about an older bother KILLING his younger brother because he had a higher score in the game. The creator did what he thought was best.

there are a lot of rumored reasons. 1) the creator was getting too many threats from haters 2) the creator could not handle all the sudden wealth 3) a lot of companies started to copy flappy bird 4)the creator thought the game was becoming too addicting 5) the creator commited suicide because of all the hate mail. All of the above are just rumors. I'm not sure about any of them.

I understand that rumors spread and seem real but they need to be backed by evidence. Out of curiosity, did you hear that from someone and believe it or did you actually look it up?
