Do you fear death? Comment why you do or don't please! 👍

I don't care if I die. I'll either be in heaven where I'll be happy and at peace for all eternity, or I'll just not exist and therefore have no idea I'm dead. The only reason I fear it is because of the sake of my friends and family. They need me here.

death is the gateway that we all must pass through life is nothing but the corridor it's a fact an inescapable truth that everyone dies and besides when someone dies you have memories of good times with them and if you don't then they were nothing to you in the first place

@Mjiri That's pretty insightful, but you didn't really answer the question. A lot of people have irrational fears, fear of death is one almost everyone has. I'm guessing you're not one of those people

@Mjiri But if you just cease to exist your mind doesn't work so you can't feel pain, sadness, regret, etc. so even if you lived a life of torture and died a horrible death, you will have no memory of it so it doesn't really matter. Therefore, it's an illogical thing to fear

@Mjiri Oh I got you, that makes a lot more sense. I guess that's just something atheists have to accept, it's a sad thing, really. I mean I'm not really strictly atheist or religious, so I guess I'll have to accept that to be a possibility at some point in my life. Thanks a lot! @Mjiri I agree! I try to keep as open of a mind as possible. I've never had that feeling, I actually love silence. Too much noise makes me feel overwhelmed, but I guess if your thoughts are more overwhelming than noise is to you, that makes sense. I don't know if it's "normal" or not though. I don't really like that word, it's very vague

Im an aethist and i dont fear death. I obviously would choose not to die but i believe that people who believe in the afterlife (heaven, hell) because they are scared of the idea of nothingness afterwards

most things in the world have caused wars that's just the way humanity is war is our natural habitat and we use any excuse we can to return to it

terrorism is ocurring nowadays because extremist disagree with the society and culture of the west including religion

@Mjiri That's a fair analogy, but it's been used pretty poorly. Religion itself isn't causing wars, and corruption, people are. That's true. But it has still caused discrimination, and some areas of conflict just from existing. See ya

I don't fear death because it happens to everyone no matter what ,and sometimes it comes quickly but sometimes it won't come for a while. But it's nothing to fear because everyone is effected by death, and we can't stop the power of it.

No. I don't fear it. I'll either be in a better place, or just stop existing,so.. Not gonna miss much in life anyways exept for my family and friends. Funny thing is: everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die.
