How do you feel about the way people are given certain rights when they reach certain ages?

I think that the law in America that you can't drink till you're 21 is dumb. It should be 18 like they have in the UK

at 18 you can legally have children, have your own place, live on the streets without being taken away, drive which risks lives, yet you can't have a drink at a social gathering... It just seems a bit odd
