Is it okay to have a best friend of the opposite sex? (I do, and I always get asked if we are dating)

I have a best friend that's the opposite sex it's fine, yeah sometimes we get asked if we r dating

and we don't mind

Two of my closer friends are guys and there's no reason why it's not okay, it's more normal than not having any

most of my friends are guys,including my best friend and we get asked if we're dating ALL the time. Don't let anyone tell you who to be friends with!

I have a friend she's a girl and we don't get asked so that's great
