Do you think awkward people choose to be awkward?

i think some people might try and act awkward because it thinks it makes people like them more but a lot of people are just awkward around strangers or member of the opposite sex

its not that they prefer to be awkward its just they think that they'd be more likeable if they were awkward. I dunno it was just a thought

My one friend is really awkward around guys. She used to get an eye twitch when she talked to them- it was /hilarious/. I'm awkward around /everyone/. My mom just gave me a lecture on how I chose to be awkward and I need to stop and I was like WTF

Haha none taken. That poor girl.... She doesn't twitch anymore but she can barely speak, which is a shame. She's weird enough already, doesn't need any more reasons for people to be like what the hell (not that weird is a bad thing)

I think most people that are awkward don't do it on purpose. Some small percentage might exaggerate their awkwardness on purpose though. There are people out there attracted to awkward people. I personally think they're adorable! 😊
